Project: what it is and what it means

A project is a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a product, a service or a unique result, with explicit constraints on deadline, budget and scope. Distinguishing it from recurring work makes it possible to apply different tools to initiatives of a different nature. Four conditions identify it: a unique goal, a time constraint, a budget or resource constraint, a result that is not replicated.
