Last updated: 29 July 2026 (extension version 2.1)
What data the extension processes
The parameters entered by the user (number of participants per role, average gross annual salaries,
supplier hourly rate, expected duration, sound alert preference), the timer status
and the history of completed meetings (date, duration, number of participants
and calculated cost) are stored exclusively locally on the user's device,
in the extension's storage area (chrome.storage.local).
- No information is sent to external servers or to third parties.
- No meeting content (titles, notes, chat, audio, video, participant names) is read or recorded.
- The extension does not use cookies, analytics or tracking services.
- No account is required.
Optional integrations with Meet, Zoom, Teams and Google Calendar
Since version 2.0 the extension can display a cost counter inside video calls (Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams used in the browser) and the estimated cost on Google Calendar events. These integrations are disabled on installation: they are enabled one by one from the toggles in the popup, and only at that moment does Chrome ask for permission for the corresponding site. They can be revoked at any time by turning off the toggle or from Chrome's settings.
When an integration is active, the extension reads only two pieces of information from the page, and only to calculate the cost: whether the call is in progress and how many people are taking part (for a calendar event: number of guests and duration). These values remain in the browser's local storage, are not transmitted anywhere and are not associated with any identity.
Permissions requested
- storage — to store settings, timer status and history locally.
- alarms — to update the badge with the current cost and trigger the alert 5 minutes before the expected end.
- offscreen — to play the sound alert when the popup is closed.
- scripting — to insert the cost counter into the pages of the platforms authorized by the user.
-
Site permissions (optional) —
calendar.google.com,meet.google.com,zoom.us,teams.microsoft.com,teams.live.com: requested only if the user enables the related integration.
Data deletion
All data resides only on the device: removing the extension from Chrome deletes it automatically and permanently.
